How Does a Company Become ICoCA Certified?
The path to certification involves three key steps:
Internal Preparation and Gap Analysis
The company reviews its practices against one of the ICoCA-recognized standards (such as ISO 18788) and develops an action plan to fill any gaps.
External Independent Audit
A recognized certification body conducts a two-stage audit. Stage 1 is a document review and interviews with key staff. Stage 2 includes on-the-ground verification of how those systems function in practice.
Formal Application to ICoCA
Once the audit is complete, the company submits the required documents to ICoCA for review. If approved by the ICoCA Board, the company becomes officially certified.
